A Smoky Night in Tokyo

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 oz STALK&BARREL Handcrafted Canadian Whisky
  • 0.5 oz Taylor Fladgate Port 10 yr
  • 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz Ginger Syrup
  • 1 Barspoon cherry juice

Ginger Syrup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Prepare the Ginger Syrup by adding all the ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let the mixture cool, strain the syrup and discard the solids. 
  2. In the cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients.
  3. Fill with ice and shake hard for 8 seconds.
  4. Double strain the cocktail into a cocktail glass using a Hawthorne and fine strainer.
  5. Garnish with a brandied cherry.
