A Smoky Night in Tokyo
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 oz STALK&BARREL Handcrafted Canadian Whisky
- 0.5 oz Taylor Fladgate Port 10 yr
- 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice
- 1 oz Ginger Syrup
- 1 Barspoon cherry juice
Ginger Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
DIRECTIONS
- Prepare the Ginger Syrup by adding all the ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let the mixture cool, strain the syrup and discard the solids.
- In the cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients.
- Fill with ice and shake hard for 8 seconds.
- Double strain the cocktail into a cocktail glass using a Hawthorne and fine strainer.
- Garnish with a brandied cherry.
